Simply the best - better than all the rest

A woman I play hockey with recommended these pants to me. She and her husband wear Taiga works down pants and down coats. They call their coats "the CHONK."
I live in the Yukon, temperature reaches -40C to -50C every winter. These pants are incredible, so warm and so soft. The puffiness of them remind me of the Michelin man - these pants are all about warmth and comfort, not style and looks.
My friend moved to the Yukon from Hawaii last year, she bought a pair of $500+ Rab down filled pants and they ripped the first winter she bought them.
Taiga works pants are incredible quality and VERY affordable compared to other brands! I have a polar fleece and a Lite rain check shell from them, excited to wear it this fall! I'm going to invest in my own CHONK coat this winter.
Customer service is very helpful and called me to review my order and measurements!
Wish I could give these pants 6 stars!

A Friend bought these

A friend of mine bought these for herself and loves them. The reinforced seat and knee areas have kept them from wearing out.

Cold snap? I don’t mind!

I just bought these and received them just in time to try them during a cold snap here in the Yukon. It has been -35,-40 all week and I haven’t felt the cold! These really are life changing if you live in a cold place. I stood 20 minutes outside on the mornings to wait for the bus and I was so toasty. They warm up the whole body. I will bring them on ski expeditions for sure. They are a little heavy, but I think they are really worth it (at least here). They will also serve as a backup if the nights are colder than what my sleeping bag is rated for. I think they compress well because they arrived in a small box. So happy with my purchase! It was the missing piece to never let the weather refrain me for going outside.

Thanks for the quick shipping also!

Follow up review.

I bought these awhile ago, before the lighter downlite pants were available.

They are a super pair of pants and are incredibly warm, even on their own with no underlayer or shell.
The reinforced fabric at the butt and knees makes them extra durable. The belt allows adjustments for other layers.
These are great when I need to be outside in really cold weather (Winnipeg!) for more prolonged periods.

I also recently purchased the downlite pants too, and they are superb, but not as warm or rugged (or quite as heavy) as these. I wouldn't take these on ski or hiking trips as they are a little too bulky and heavy (for downwear). For real cold weather though, unbeatable!

Thanks Taiga!

Super Warm

Had these babies on a my last winter trek into Mystic Valley. Temps fell to -22 C. Stayed so warm that had to shed a windblocker shell and Merino under-layer. Hardly needed a sleeping bag. Must-have gear!
