Polartec®300 Hooded Fleece Jacket (Men's)

I had a Polartec 300 fleece when I was 18 and living in the woods, but its owner took it back. I had always wondered if that Polartec 300 was really as magic as I remembered.
I am 44, and after having one of these Hooded Polartec 300 fleece Jackets for more than a year, I can legitimately say that "The Hype is Real!".
Yesterday, I went to work with just a T-shirt on in sub-zero conditions (no wind though!) and I was perfectly comfortable. There's something special going on with the weight of the textile. Of course, it's never stuffy either!!
I love the tall collar on this fleece. when you zip it up, it protects your throat and lower face without being a dedicated 'turtle tube'!
If they made a 400, I'd go for it in a flash.
I am still blown away that the factory called me in person to go over available colors!!! Incredible.
Cheap at double the price. Do it.

Since the mid 1980's I have purchased a number of fleece jackets. Through the years companies have either stopped offering Polartec 300 products or cheapened their products. Now days, some of the companies have stopped marketing their products as mountain climbing gear and tailoring them to the urban crowd. This jacket reminds me of the old days. Thick and warm. Lots of pockets. I bought it in red and it is perfect. I did call the company before purchasing to verify the size I needed. They are extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with. Shipping was 4 days to Missouri. I highly recommend this jacket. I could not be happier. I plan on adding 3" flat nylon fabric zipper pulls to all the zippers. Thank you Taiga for making a great product.
