I have between 4-6 pairs of these long johns and I love them. I have been wearing a pair basically everyday for at least a year. I've worn them during the summer working in the bush under my rain gear and have never felt 'wet' even though I was absolutely soaked after a long day in the pouring rain. I've also worn them in the winter and have been kept warm with no issues.
Longevity wise, these long johns may not be the best when compared to synthetics. I did develop a few holes in the crotch of two of my long johns after one season (3 months) of working in the bush, but that is to be expected as that is a high wear area and I ended up wearing them basically every day as it rained a lot this last summer in central BC. They are still functional, just an fyi.
I will be buying more of these long johns in the near future.
