Soft, fine wool. Washes and wears well. I appreciated being called when Taigaworks did not have the colour I ordered in my size. Now that is great customer service.

Well made, comfortable, soft, durable, packs well. A staple for all seasons when hiking in Canada, and for any winter sport.

Having a couple of very well-used smartwool tank tops similar to this, I decided it was time to try another brand. The fabric weight feels the same but I have no number reference for the others. Not sure about the no static with wool enhancing body energy, which is a claim I have not seen before for wool clothing. Maybe if I wear it more often I will feel more energy? I do wish it came in more colours for women — coal and denim are pretty male-oriented. The sizing on clothing with Taiga is quite confusing. Depending on what piece of clothing you are looking at, the size will be different for say, a Size 12. Not the same across the board. Fortunately I looked further on the site and found they had measurements with the sizes. They even called me to make sure I had ordered the correct size!
It is comfortable to wear, with a large enough armscyce. And the neckline is not too low. We'll see how it wears now.
