High quality three season shell

I purchased the Intrepid for using in mountain weather conditions. After using the jacket for Jan-May snowshoeing then June-Aug hiking conditions in northern BC, I can report that my upper body stays dry in heavy snow and downpour conditions. The arm pit vents allow for the heat to escape while the body is working hard. The sewing, fabric, and fasteners are high quality, enduring through rough terrain. I found that for summer, multi-day backpacking this jacket is quite heavy, takes more space to pack, and is hotter than other shell jackets, so I will use the Intrepid for late fall, early spring, and winter day adventures.

Excellent jacket, Canadian-made

High quality materials, solid construction, light weight, well-sized pockets, an effective hood. A very well-designed all-purpose jacket, good looking for town but a capable hiking garment too. To top it all off it’s Canadian. If you’re only going to own one jacket, this is the one.
